INTRODUCTION
Shri. Patel Jaisinbhai Narjibhai used to grow Watermelon on his 1.62 Acres of field using traditional irrigation method of flood irrigation and his total yield used to be 13000 (kg/acre). He wanted to increase the yield of his crop so he introduced Epc drip irrigation system for watermelon in his field.
Through the use of this technique on the same field and same crop, the crop yield increased from 13000 (Kg/acre) to 16440 (kg/acre). Also there was a decrease in total cost of cultivation from Rs 42200 to Rs 37615 and the net returns on for the crop increases from Rs 42300 to Rs 77465.
